The Library provides six computers for adult patron use. All are free to use and have word processing availability.
COMPUTER USE
Telephone reservations or advanced bookings will not be accepted. All users must sign up in person. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To use a computer, a valid Library card from this or another participating BCCLS library is required. Visitors may obtain a one-day guest pass by presenting acceptable ID, e.g., driver’s license, passport or other ID.
The Library tries to ensure that computer use is fairly allocated among all patrons. A computer is assigned for a period of one hour. At the end of this time period, a patron may continue to use the computer for three additional twenty-minute sessions provided that no one else is waiting.
Only one person at a time is permitted to use a library computer. In some cases, such as a parent/guardian with children, it may be important for two or more people to work together at a computer workstation. However, if the activities of a group interfere with the effective use of the Library by others, group members will be asked to correct the behavior, or leave the computer area.
There is no expectation of privacy during use of library computers.
Computers will be shut down fifteen minutes before the Library closes.
