The Richard A. Mola Public Library offers a Seed Library exclusively available to Elmwood Park residents. When seeds are available, the Seed Library is located at the first-floor Circulation Desk, where packets of seeds can be obtained in the Spring and Summer. A library card is not needed to obtain seeds, but patrons are required to record date, name and address and seeds taken.

Each recipient is limited to one seed packet per day per household.   A selection of different seed packets will be available each week. Please note that seed availability depends on donations, so supplies are limited.  The Seed Library will be accessible to patrons until seeds run out.

The Richard A. Mola Public Library assumes no responsibility for any liabilities, damages, or costs arising from the use or misuse of seeds, nor for any losses incurred from seeds obtained through the Seed Library. No holds may be placed on seeds from the Seed Library. Additionally, Library staff will not provide guidance on the proper use or planting of seeds.
