Adult 2026 Summer Reading Challenge
LOG YOUR READING. WIN PRIZES!
We are challenging our patrons to Read Every Day this summer. Log the days you read and earn chances to win prizes! There is no restriction on what you read or how much you read. We just encourage you to take the time to read something every day between June 13 – August 22.
Audiobooks, podcasts, newspapers, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, manga – it all counts!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Step 1: Download the Reader Zone App
- Available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Or log in via web browser: https://www.readerzone.com/
Step 2: Set Up an Account
- First-time users must create a Reader Zone account
- Returning users may use the same account from last year
Step 3: Join the Reading Group for Adults (18+)
Program Code: f4db0
Step 4: Log Reading Activities
Participants earn a raffle ticket for each achievement logged. Tickets count toward prize entries.
- You earn raffle tickets as your book count adds up:
- For every 2 Books Read you earn 1 Raffle Ticket!
- All reading must be logged by August 21, 2026 to be eligible for prize drawings.
Step 5: Claim your raffle tickets and enter them for prizes
- Pick up your earned raffle tickets at the library
Remote Ticket Claim Option:
If you’re unable to visit in person, email programming@elmwoodpark.bccls.org by August 21, 2025.
Include the following:
- Your full name
- The prize(s) you’d like to use your raffle tickets toward
Adult Prizes
- (Ages 21+) One chance for two tickets to Liberty Science Center’s After Dark adult event! Donated by LSC
- One chance for four General Admission tickets to Liberty Science Center! Donated by LSC
- One chance for a LEGO Technic NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket
- One chance for a LEGO Botanicals Mini Orchid Set for Adults
Step 6: Cast your ticket(s) for any of the prize(s) you’d like to win:
Step 7: Watch for prizes to be awarded on August 22rd
Prize drawings will be held on Saturday, August 22 during the End-of-Summer Reading Party.
Participants do not need to be present to win. Winners will be contacted directly to pick up their prizes.
Children’s Pre-K – 5th Grade Summer Reading Challenge 2026
We challenge Elmwood Park children Pre-K through Grade 5 to Read Every Day this summer. Log the days you read and earn chances to win prizes! - 75 Books Read —1 Raffle Ticket
- 100 Books Read —1 Raffle Ticket
- Every Extra 100 Books Read —1 Raffle Ticket
